Imagine life before Google Maps.  You find yourself driving in an unfamiliar area and you realize you’re lost.  You locate the closest gas station, get out of your car and ask for directions. This analogy is likened to my role as a Parent Coach. When parents feel “lost” or are struggling to make sense of their child’s behavior, I reroute them. As a Parent Coach, I act as personal GPS – a Global Parenting Strategist - so parents can gain perspective, acquire new skills and improve their relationship with their child.

 

Now imagine another scenario: this time you’re charged with making an important presentation. Do you prepare in advance, or do you simply show up and hope for the best? Most people would prepare in advance, especially if it’s important. So, isn’t it ironic that outside of childbirth preparation classes, the transition into parenthood supports no formal learning - as long as you love your child everything else is said to fall into place.  If you’re a parent, you know this is far from the truth.  My parenting classes explore developmental basics, cover current research and provide hands-on tools so parents are better informed, better skilled and gain more confidence in their parenting role.
